Beginning in 1961, the Business School at NUS started functioning in 1965, when Business Administration was introduced as a separate discipline in the curriculum of the Economics Department. The institute aimed to act as an incubator for future business leaders in an environment of creative innovation.
Full-time faculty strength of around 160 members with their competence, helps improving the quality of knowledge conveyed, thereby enriching the reputation of the institution.
The School is divided in five departments namely:
- Business Policy
- Decision Sciences
- Finance & Accounting
- Marketing
- Management & Organization
The Department provides the following options to the students prior to their course choice:
- Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.)
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors) or B.B.A.(Hons.)
Under-graduates have a wide range of option to choose from the diverse Under-graduate programmes as follows:
- Bachelor of Business Administration
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors)
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting)
- Bachelor of Business Administration and M. Sc (Management)
Double Degree Programmes:

Graduate programmes of the institution comprise courses at different levels:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- International MBA (conducted jointly with Peking University)
- UCLA-NUS Executive MBA Programme
- Asia-Pacific Executive MBA (English and Chinese)
- Master of Science (Management) Programme
Apart from the above ones, the School also offers a Doctor of Philosophy programme, which is a graduate programme.
The Business School has as many as 11 buildings spread all over its campus for housing the students. 7 libraries on different disciplines enlighten them, quenching their thirst for knowledge.
