The Nanyang University was established in 1855. In 1981 the Nanyang Technological Institute was set up in its campus. The NTI was reconstituted in 1991 and became the Nanyang Technological University. Located in the south western part of Singapore it has a beautiful garden campus area of 2 sqr km.
NTU has 4 colleges comprising of 12 schools. They include the college of engineering, the college of science ,the college of business and the college of humanities arts and social sciences. It also boasts of the Wee Kim Wee school of communication and information, one of the best of its kind in Asia. The Rajaratnam School of international studies is the 13th school to be opened in 2007.
Well equipped modern facilities for teaching and research is available in the campus.It boasts of hi-e-tech learning infrastructure. Residential accomodation are available within the campus for both the students and staff.
