Pacific International Hotel Management School

The Pacific International Hotel Management School operates under the guidance of the International Hotel and Tourism Training Institute (IHTTI) of Neuchatel, Switzerland, to provide training in Hospitality and Hotel Management. The institute seeks to develop the required skills and expertise in the student which would enable him or her to successfully avail the wide range of career opportunities offered by the global industry of hospitality. The institute also concentrates on ensuring the development of professionalism in the student.

• Location : The Pacific International Hotel Management School is located in the Taranaki region of New Zealand. The institute is central in position, situated near the New Plymouth City.

• Courses : All the courses offered by the institute constitute of practical training. The various qualifications offered are –
  • First Diploma in Hotel Management with English
  • PIHMS Diploma in Hotel Management (NZQA Level 6)
  • Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management (The Australian Hospitality Review Panel at AQF Level 6)
  • IHTTI Diploma in Hotel Management (internationally recognised Swiss diploma)
  • Bachelor of Applied Hospitality and Tourism Management (NZQA Level 7)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Hotel Management (NZQA Level 8)
• Library & Learning Resources : The learning resources provided by the Pacific International Hotel Management School are -
  • Computer training laboratories
  • Library or resource room
  • Teaching and commercial kitchens

• Accommodation : Twin-share rooms with en-suite are provided by the Pacific International Hotel Management School during the ‘live-in' semesters. A student lounge area is provided with residential accommodation. The option of Private Sector Accommodation is also available for students enrolled on the First Diploma in Hotel Management with English program. However, they are first provided with on-campus accommodation on arrival.
  
  
• Scholarships : The institute does not have any internal schemes for funding students. However, the students are encouraged by the institution to seek external financial help. Some such external sources are suggested in the university website.
