The Micheal O Cleirigh Institute is a centre of excellence in the research of Irish studies.
The Micheal O Cleirigh Institute strives to emulate the Franciscan tradition of encouraging a community of scholars to pursue research into a wide range of topics relating to Irish history and civilization
The Micheal O Cleirigh Institute promotes the research work by holding weekly seminars.
Papers cover a wide range of disciplines including

- Early and medieval Irish history
- Early modern Irish history
- Archaeology

- Hiberno-Latin learning.
Accommodation
UCD has rooms on the Belfield and Blackrock Campus for more than 2000 students in three, four, five and six bedroom self- catering apartments.
