The Faculty of Tourism and Food of DIT has been in existence for over half a century, during which the Faculty has established a national and international reputation for the excellence of its courses, research and service to industry.
The Faculty currently provides a comprehensive range of courses from Certificate through to Masters Level and provides opportunities and facilities for postgraduate research leading to PhD and MPhil degrees.
There are 5 schools which operate under the Faculty of Tourism & Food:
- School of Hospitality Management
- School of Culinary Arts & Food Technology
- School of Food Science & Environmental Health
There are seven libraries within the Institute. DIT Library currently stocks more than 250,000 books and other items and subscribes to nearly 20,000 journal titles.
The university provides the students with awards, scholarships and grants to help them carry on their studies or research work and also as a mark of recognition.
The Student Accommodation Service is an information service provided by the Student Sports, Recreation and Support Dept. in co-operation with the Students' Union. The DIT International Student Office at DIT can provide advice for International Students on accommodation issues as well.
