The Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Ireland began its journey in the 1960s as an art school for vocational education. It gained the status of a Regional Technical college in the year 1997. The institute has 1,500 students.
Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology comprises of three schools. They are:
- School of Creative Arts
- School of Creative
- School of Business and Humanities
The school offers full time and modular part time courses and also summer and autumn schools.
Library:
The library at this institute is equipped with books, journals, DVDs, CDs, exhibition catalogues etc. it also provides an e-learning facility to the students or what is known as the ‘e-library'. Facilities like photo copying, computers and TV Video machines are present at this library.
Accommodation:
The institute helps in establishing contacts between the landlords and the students. It does not have any accommodation facility of its own.
