Located on the sprawling ground of Rathmines the Church of Ireland College of Education is one of the five Irish colleges in Ireland which provide a Bachelor of Education degree (B.Ed) required to tech in the Irish primary schools. The aim of the College is to provide educated primary teachers under the management of the Church of Ireland to different primary schools.
Degree Courses:
- Degree of Bachelor of Education in association with the Trinity College Dublin
School experience is regarded as the most important criterion for the B.Ed. degree course, and students spend approximately 18 weeks in school in the three year course program to gain enough experience and practical knowledge of classroom teaching.

Library: The library has a comprehensive system and provides all the necessary materials needed for the course of B.Ed.
The library provides the following facilities to the students:

The core collection of printed material consists of about 24,000 books. This contains books related to the academic and theoretical aspects of the B.Ed. and a very extensive Teaching Practice section. The Resource Centre is located in Coláiste Moibhí. It houses a reference library, a collection of classroom materials and a selection of assessment materials. The Classroom Materials Library and the Assessment Materials Library are known to provide help to the students.
Residences: Residential accommodation is available in the College, and each student has his or her own study-bedroom. The residential block contains a number of television lounges as well as the Student Common Room for useful interaction and discussions.
The campus comprises of different societies, clubs and forums for the students to interact.
