The University of Paderborn was established in 1972 in Paderborn, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The University lays emphasis on research and educational study in arenas of computer science, engineering and mathematics. The University of Paderborn has two campuses-the main campus and the campus at Fürstenallee.
The University has five faculties which are again divided into various departments.

The library of University of Paderborn provides all the required support to the students to support teaching, research and learning processes. The library is a storehouse of innumerable printed books, electronic books, periodicals, databases and micro-films. More than 80 computer terminals are at the disposal of the students to avail the electronic information resource.
There are two types of accommodation facilities that can be availed. Firstly it can be self-arranged and secondly it can be arranged by the International Student Office. The Student Office gives options to the students to select from share-housing, single apartments or students halls of residence.
Scholarships are granted by the university at doctoral and post-doctoral levels of study.
