The university library Ilmenau is the largest technical library of Thüringen. The Library helps the students in their research projects and it supplies adequate information about different faculties. Beyond that it is available in city and region all citizen, mechanisms of the public life, business enterprise and research establishments.

Scholarships:
The students who have enrolled in the doctoral program can apply for research grants and scholarships from the following organizations that support research in different disciplines. Some of the organizations are German Research Council, Federal German Ministry of Education and Research, European Commission, the local education ministry of Thüringen. Scholarships are generally granted to students who want to pursue research in science subjects.
Accommodations:
Students are provided with accommodation on the campus or outside the campus. However the students are also provided with housing facilities outside the campus. The flats are fully-furnished and well-equipped to meet the demands of the students.
