Technical University of Clausthal

Technical University of Clausthal traces its origin back to 1775 when it was established as a mathematical school in Upper Harz Mountain. However, it attained the status of a mining academic institute in the year 1864. With the introduction of new courses in physics, chemistry, mathematics and mechanical engineering which in its wake brought about a structural change, this mining institute was renamed as the Clausthal University of Technology in 1968.

This University offers a wide range of programmes with the main emphasis being on technical education and training. Its aim is to educate its students in accordance with the industrial requirements. Clausthal University carries on exchange programmes with more than 100 Universities in five continents.

The University offers Diploma in courses such as Business and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Information Engineering and Process Engineering. Bachelors Degree is offered to the students of Applied mathematics, Business Administration, Chemistry, Energy and Raw Material, Geoenviromental Engineering, Material Science and Engineering.
