Technical University of Chemnitz is one of the top five universities of Germany. In 1836, Royal Mercantile College was founded which provided technical education. Later in 1986, this college itself was renamed as Technical University. Chemnitz University attracts nearly 750 students from 70 different countries. It has partnership with almost 100 universities worldwide.
