The Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz was established in 1946. The university consists of over 150 institutions and clinics and is one of the largest universities of Germany. It currently has over 35,000 students and a comprehensive, interdisciplinary curriculum of studies. The students come from more than 130 countries. There are more than 2,800 academics and scientists conducting study and research at this university at present.
