One of the oldest libraries in North Rhine Westphalia is located on the campus of the university. Students and scholars avail the library to seek academic information which are available in the traditional printed form as well as in the digital format. The library also has abundant electronic journals along with large number of databases and online services.
The Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf has limited accommodation facilities for its students. Most of the students reside off-campus in privately rented apartments. The Dusseldorf Youth Hostel is the place to look for short-term accommodation till a suitable accommodation is found.
German institutions generally do not award grants and scholarships to the students. The most extended scholarship program in Germany is run by German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).Only advanced students who excel brilliantly in academics are eligible for the scholarships. The applicant's financial circumstances do not play any role in obtaining scholarships.
