The University Of Education, Schwäbisch Gmünd

The University of Education Schwäbisch Gmün offers teachers training for primary, secondary and special needs education in collaboration with the Aalen University of Applied Sciences. Collaborations with industrial training schools as well as internships and other projects enable students to apply and integrate their academic knowledge through practical experience both at home and abroad. In the University 2300 students are preparing for teaching profession.

Courses of Study
Teacher Training Programmers' for various educational levels, continuing education in Pedagogy, graduate and post-doctoral programmers'. The teachers training programme is of seven semesters. Vocational teacher's programmers' is of nine semesters.




Facilities

• The PH enjoys a partnership with regional schools and businesses, making possible the exchange of knowledge between the college classroom and practical situations.
• The University is also active in an international network of 20 partner institutions which promotes the exchange of scholars, students and ideas.
• For the social support and promotion of studying in the educational University Gmünd the student council is responsible
• In the University there are also sufficient possibilities of finding privately an inexpensive and good room
• The hostel is close by the University (approx. 10 minutes sidewalk). The rooms are equipped all with basic furniture (bed, wardrobe desk and chair). In addition there are common kitchens, wash and drying machines as well as a Sauna.
• Students and members of the university can participate in the meetings of the university sport. In the University everyone has the possibility of practicing under expert guidance something for their physical Fitness and of training in preferential kinds of sport.
• Baden-Wuerttemberg scholarship is given to all the deserving candidates
