The Bucerius Law School, the first privately operated law school in Germany, was founded in 2000 with an objective of offering students an alternative to the usual legal education provided at German state universities. The main objective is to create an academically accomplished, practice-oriented, and bi-lingual legal education with a focus on international business law. Bucerius Law School graduates acquire the LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) degree and are prepared to compete in Germany's First State Examination in Law wherein admissions are based solely on the merit of a student.
Study at Brucelius:
The academic year at Bucerius Law School is divided into trimesters and the entire program lasts for four years. Foreign language courses are conducted in Chinese, English, Russian, and Spanish. Lectures in business administration, and an obligatory general studies program are also part of the Bucerius Law School curriculum. Students at Bucerius Law School gain insights into legal practice through mandatory internships.
