The Université de Rouen founded in 1966 comprises of 7 sites housing the different faculties at Mont-Saint-Aignan, Saint-Etienne du Rouvray, Evreux , Rouen-Martainville P.U.S.T. Pasteur and Elbeuf.
The university has six teaching and research faculties, two university institutes of technology (IUTs), an institute for preparation for the general administrative exam (IPAG), and a school of business (IAE).
The university is characterized by a particularly rich array of multidisciplinary programs offering Licence, Master's and Diplomas.
The university offers programs in the following sectors:]
- Law
- Economics and management
- Humanities and social sciences
- Science, Technology and Health
The Université de Rouen has 40 advanced research laboratories, of which 15 are affiliated with the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) or the Institut National de la Santé et de la m Recherche Médicale (INSERM). They cooperate closely with the laboratories of Caen and Le Havre, their partners in the Pôle Universitaire
Normand, and with many national and international networks.
The laboratories of the Université de Rouen have some 50 bilateral teaching and research agreements with 40 countries and conducts extensive research programs in:
- Physics, mathematics, and computing for engineers
- Chemistry, biology, health
- Social sciences and humanities
- Environment, management of natural and industrial risks
