Universite de Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV) was founded in the year 1969. The University is located in Amiens, midway between Paris and Lille. It is a multi-disciplinary University with campuses on six different regions of Picardie.

Libraries
The University libraries are situated in five sites; three of them are in Amiens, one in Beauvais and one in St-Quentin. The Libraries provide all kind of learning resources including books, periodicals, online data bases and reviews.
Accommodation
The university has 22 residences in the main university town of Picardy at Amiens, Beauvais, Compiegne and St-Quentin.
The CROUS manages several types of housing:

- Residences at the private individuals
All the University campuses have their own Canteens and Cafeterias.
