The Universite de Paris 7 - Denis Diderot is the first university of France offering multiple fields of study. It was established in the year 1970. The University has six separate buildings.
Courses and Faculties
The university programmes are mainly divided into three levels; the Undergraduate, Graduate and the Postgraduate. There are more than 230 National Diploma Programmes at the university. The Doctoral divisions under the graduate programme are one of the university's greatest strength.
The subjects or field of studies included are:
- Sciences – mathematics, physics, chemistry, life science, computer
science, earth science and environment
- Letters and Humanities – western and non-western languages, social
sciences, philosophy, history of sciences,
history and geography
- Health – medicine and dentistry
The multi-disciplinary Programmes offered by the institution are biology and computer science, linguistics and computer science, mathematics and social science and environmental studies.
The Research programmes are either affiliated with CNRS, INSERM, CEA or other national organizations. The university has more than 150 research teams and laboratories.
The Universite de Paris 7 - Denis Diderot has recently introduced a diploma programme specially planned for Chinese students.
