The Universite Paris 10 Nanterre is an extension of Sorbonne and was established in 1970.The University has a vast campus on the western outskirts of Paris.
The university consists of:
- Nine faculties
- Two Training Institutes
- Seven doctoral programmes
- Two research Institutes
The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate diplomas in all humanities and social science disciplines. A large number of international students become a part of the university's academic programmes every year.
Several facilities are provided by the university for the students. Apart from sport activities, the university also promotes cultural activities.
The university also has a library which has a collection of large number of books.
On campus accommodation facility is available to the students of the university along with food services. The Nanterre student residence is located on the university campus, in close proximity to the classrooms, library and metro station.
