Established in 1984, and located in Normandy, the second largest port in France, the University has three teaching and research faculties, a University Institute of Technology (IUT), and a School of Engineering.
The University is divided into four major faculties and they are:
- Law
- Economics, Management and Commerce
- Humanities, Social Sciences, Letters and Languages
- Science and Technology
The University also offers 12 foreign languages including 6 Asian languages. Some of the important programs that are offered are:
- Transport and Logistics
- International Law
- International Banking and Finance
- Maritime and Port Law
- Port and Coastal engineering
- Environment and Biology
- Chemistry and Cosmetics
- Engineering etc
The University conducts research programs in interdisciplinary subjects and the scientific potentials of the students are realized with the help of the 11 laboratories.
The subjects that are taught in the Science Faculty are:
- Chemistry and Biology
- Mathematics and Computer Science
- Engineering Science etc
The Qualifications that are offered are:
Residences: The students can reside in cites Universitaires which are arranged by the Regional Student Service Agency or CROUS. The students can also stay in private residences.
The students are also offered courses in Intensive French to follow the medium of instruction which is bi-lingual. International students are given a warm welcome in the University during the orientation course. The University campus has a large number of clubs and societies which help the students of different countries to interact and discuss different issues.
