The advent of the Universite de Haute Alsace (known as University of High-Alsace in English) Mulhouse started sometime during the seventeenth century. Today, approximately 8000 students are enrolled in the various courses of the University of High-Alsace (UHA) in its Mulhouse and Colmar Campuses. Strong liaison of the University with the Government and corporate sectors, because of its remarkable standing as a giver of quality education, ensures its students a more secure future in procuring and retaining employment.
Courses Offered
The University offers a range of Programs equivalent to Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels in the following courses:
- Letters, Languages and Social Sciences
- Management and Trade
- Right and Social Sciences
- Sciences and Technologies.
Grants
Students may apply to the French Government and International Associations if they want receive grants for higher education.
Facilities
The Library stores an enormous collection of books and periodicals. The Library permits students to access its electronic, photocopying, printing and other resources. The Library also allows students to access its Guides so that students may retrieve information swiftly.
Some of the names and functions of these Guides are given below:
- URFIST of Strasbourg Resources: A Guide meant to acquaint students with ‘what is located where' in every nook and cranny of the Library
- Ecoline: A Guide dealing with the nitty-gritties of Economics and of much use to the students of the subject.

AERIS: A Guide for students of Science related subjects.
The Campuses at Mulhouse and Colmar provide the following amenities to the students:
- Health care centers
- Sports facilities
- A center for learning new languages
- An Employment Center that informs students about vacancies available in various companies
Students have to indicate their need for accommodation during the process of application as accommodation is not automatically guaranteed in the University's Halls of Residence due to the large demand for accommodation.
