Founded in 1991, Universite de Cergy-Pontoise, today, is a recognized multi-disciplinary French University. The University is located to the west of Paris. The University has 11,450 students, 13% of which consists of international students representing almost 96 countries. The most astounding fact about the university is that it has 121 ‘partner universities' in 35 countries.
The University offers a wide range of disciplines such as:

- Humanities and Social sciences
- Economics and Management
- Sciences and technology
144 Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate degrees are offered by the University in all of the above mentioned fields.
The University consists of an Administrative Training Institute (IPAG) and a University Institute of Technology (IUT).
There are 22 research centers in the University, of which 8 are associated with CNRS (National Research Center), like the Research Institute in Analysis, Geometry and Modelisation and Research center on Economic Law.
Three Doctoral Schools of the University has been approved by the Ministry of Education in September 2000.
Library
The library could be easily accessed by the students and provides them with all the necessary information. The Library has a brilliant collection of 140,000 books related to the various fields of study.
Accommodation
The University has three Halls of Residence meant for accommodating the students. These halls are managed by the Regional University Facilities Center, which means the University can also provide accomm0dation facility to its exchange students. There is also the option for private sector housing.
Other Facilities
The University supports the students in their academic journey by providing them with a wide range of facilities like it has a computer lab with 1,500 computers. It also offers French courses for the foreign students.
