The IUT, Le Mans offers short and concise 2-year Diploma courses to train students of different educational or career backgrounds. These technology-based courses are offered by Diplôme Universitaire de Technologie (DUT) or University Diploma of Technology, with rigorous training programs. Successful Diploma holders can either work as a liaison between engineers and general workforce, or continue with course work that are mainly management and training based. Comprised of 4 departments:
- Business and Administrative Management
- Chemistry
- Measurements in Physics
- Mechanical Engineering and Production Technology
IUT enables their students to widely interact with industry professionals. About 10% of final year student are trained overseas each year with profitable project placements. Teaching methodologies involve induction, deduction, experimentation, continuous assessment, supervised project work, interdisciplinarity, work placement, work-release.
The institute avails the student with wide array of services and facilities including assistance and counseling, on-campus accommodation arrangements, restaurants and bus networks, etc.
