The IUP Ingenierie macanique is the mechanical engineering department of University of Valenciennes or Universite de Valenciennes. The students can go in for higher degrees or get a job in any branch of the industry like Metallurgy, car industry etc.
Competences and knowledge taught are:
- Knowledge in mechanical design(development of a functional schedule of conditions), manufacture, choice of materials
- Tools CAD( computer –aided design)
- Structural analysis
- Management, project control
- English
The ONISEP is classified in three parts. They are:
- Materials
- Mechanics
- Teaching, research
The NSF is classified in three parts which are:
- Studies, projects, drawing in mechanical engineering
- Methods, organization, production control in mechanical engineering
- Metal structure
A training course is obligatory at the institute which has duration of 8 weeks. Training courses abroad are also possible.
