The Faculty of Medicine of Nice has a long history and it has moved from strength to strength. It is in July 1965 that the national School of medicine, preceding Faculty was officially announced, however the true inaugural date is in October 1968. The year 1970 is remembered, moreover, by the creation of the UER of medicine, publicly-owned establishment, by the signature of convention binding this UER to the Regional Hospital complex of Nice. The Faculty of Medicine is located in the north-eastern area of the town of Nice, on the side of the hill of Cimiez. The building of Faculty of Medicine consists of a tower of 14 stages, and there are practical laboratories for the students.

Library:
The Library provides books, DRUNK NICE SERVICE which is common to all the subjects related to medicine, web resources, a special section for the thesis and research and the Medicine-Ontology Section is specially equipped to help the students in their research work.
Accommodation:
The CROUS or the Regional Student's Council of the Nice academy manages 9 student hostels where 3500 students live in different types of accommodation. The rooms are of two types and they are traditional furnished rooms and studios. Two types of financial aid is provided to the students and they are ALS (Allocation Logement à Caractère Social) for traditional rooms, fixed aide and the APL (Aide Personnalisée au Logement) for accommodation such as studios, of a variable sum, depending on the rent and the student's income. Some of the student residences are Residence Bais des Anges, Les Colinettes, La Madeleine, Montebello, Saint Antoine, and Les Dolines.
The students are provided with research facilities with the help of the other universities around the world who are partners to the home university.
