The IUP, Institut Universitaire Professionalisé Banque Assurance of Caen, is a department within the University of Caen.It was built in 1991 by the Faculties of Law, Political Sciences and Economics & Management.Its main objective is to train managers in banking, insurance and financial sectors. Basically it is a public sector business school.

Financial Engineering
a.IFM This programme is for students preparing to become: auditors, portfolio managers, traders, risk controllers, financial market lawyers, and financial engineers in investment banking.
b. CAEI,. This programme is for students who want to become financial analysts, loan advisers or corporate bankers.
The Master 2 (IFM and CAEI) consists of 6 months of courses followed by a 6 months' work placement and leads to a Master 2 (5th year University diploma).
