The Institut universitaire de formation de maitres de Lyon or the University of Lyon is located in the Lyon region of France. The institute aims to become a house of teachers. The university has approximately 77000 students.

- Centre Lyon
- Centre Saint Etienne
- Centre Villeurbanne
- Centre academique Michel Delay
In the centers of Borough in Bresse, Lyon and Saint-Etienne students and training future professors of the schools and future Professors de Lycees and Colleges are accommodated. Students, trainees, future Professors of Colleges, future Professors de Lycees and Colleges and future Principal Advisers of Education are accommodated at the center of Villeurbanne.
The duties assigned to the Academic Center Michel Delay are helping the Academic Center of Resources for Priority Education, accompanying the Academic Center for the Schooling of the pupils Lately Made to France and the children of the Voyage and contributing towards prevention of violence.
Teachers for students with special needs like deaf and dumb are trained here. The students have an option of taking First Degree course or Second Degree course for becoming specialized teachers.
The university offers a diploma course to become an Educational Psychologist.
The university provides common service to the trainees and the trainers through a Management of the Information system (DSI). They have a technical cell and a cell TICE to give information and support.
The training activity at the institute is divided into three parts.
They are:
- Les actions à public ciblé et désigné (Actions with targeted and indicated public)
- Les actions à candidature individuelle (Actions with individual candidature)
- Les actions à candidature collective (Actions with collective candidature)
