UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF FORMATION OF THE MAITRES - BURGUNDY is a publicly-owned establishment of higher education and research.
IUFM-Burgundy offers courses at postgraduate level, since a Bachelor Degree is a must to take the exam to avail of the training organized by the IUFM (Institut Universitaire de Formation des Maitres).

No funding is available to first-year students; once they have passed the competitive exam at the end of their first year, they are considered as "fonctionaires" (civil servant) and are paid accordingly
