UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF TRAINING OF THE MASTERS-CLERMONT FERRAND
The IUFM is an administrative publicly-owned institution established by the law of orientation on the education of July 10, 1989 in order to “better form, better recruit” and “to develop a true vocational training”.
IUFM-Clermont Ferrand offers courses at postgraduate level, since a Bachelor Degree is a must to take the exam to avail of the training organized by the IUFM (Institut Universitaire de Formation des Maitres).
The IUFM of Clermont Ferrand is an establishment which:
- Conducts the contests of recruitment of the teachers and the principal advisers of education (CPE)
- Provides the initial vocational training
- Provides training to continues personnel of the trades of teaching
- Promotes research in education and training

The documentary network of the IUFM of Clermont Ferrand comprises of four Centers of Documentary Resources:
- CRD Clermont-Chamalières,
- CRD Antenna of Mills,
- CRD associated CDDP with Puy,
- Associated CRD CDDP Aurillac
The documentary collections include reference works, general pedagogy, multi-field fund and of didactic, periodical, textbooks, memories professionals.
