Established in 1984, and located in Lyon, the School has always believed in professional excellence coupled with academic brilliance. IDRAC Lyon's new facility (15000m2) is located in Vaise and welcomes more than 5000 students, apprentices, interns and faculty. Four associate universities (Group IGS, IDRAC, 3A and IFAG) make up l'Université Professionnelle Internationale. This unique conglomeration offers different courses and degrees which are designed to initiate lifelong learning. The city of Lyon can be described to facilitate learning among students like in terms of research the students are given ample opportunities in subjects like the clinical and biological human research, pharmaceutical, bioengineering, medical, medical imaging, chemical and molecular biology.

In 1991, IDRAC Lyon introduced “Executive Education” which offers:
Diplomant Program (levels I, II): program to obtain a professional qualification and intra-enterprise Personalized Business Training Program: includes personalized advising and coaching.
Accommodation:
The students are provided accommodation through CROUS or the Regional Student's Council and they are also allowed to find private apartments in and around the city.
Internship programs are offered to the students in and outside the country and they can also do the internship while studying.
