The IUT of Kourou started functioning in 1998 and has emerged as one of the 10 best IUT of France. Apart from Kourou, campuses are also there at Saint-Claude and Schoelcher. With more than 250 students per year, the institute also has a considerable faculty strength. Apart from offering courses the institute also conducts researches on forms of energy.

- DUT Gestion des entreprises et des administrations option petites et moyennes organizations
- DUT Génie biologique option industries alimentaires et biologiques
With about 120 teachers to support education, this campus houses the Biological Genius and Administration and Business management departments. With state of the art facilities in the library, laboratory and other parts of the campus, the institute can successfully meet the various needs of the society.
