Originally known as the Saskatchewan India Federated College, this university was founded in 1976 and was renamed as the First Nations University in 2003.
The campus has 18 undergraduate degrees, more than 10 certificate and diploma options federated with the University of Regina. The aboriginal youth development leadership programs, indigenous people's health research centres, the libraries in the campuses all contribute to the success of the students both in the academic fields and also in different community programs.
