Southland conference is an athletic conference that takes place in the south central United States. It mainly supports football but also encourages other sports. The Southland conference is known for supporting 17 types of sports that include nine sport items for women and eight for men. The Southland conference is controlled by the Board of Directors and Advisory Council of athletic bodies. The Southland conference has its branches situated at various academic institutions.
