Located at western coast of the Mississippi river,
Missouri Valley Conference popularly known as The Valley, is the second oldest athletic conference of United States. Founded in 1907 it comprises of 12 sports fielded.

In 2006-2007
Missouri valley Conference celebrates a century of excellent performance. 8 Indiana state University students athletes received The Missouri Valley Conference President's Council Academic Excellence award. A total of 119 student athletes were honoured with this award.
NCAA Division I Conference begins its second centennial as a leading body in college athletics. The Missouri Valley Conference emphasizes the relationship of a student athlete and the guide. The valley also actively provide opportunities for its member institutions.
