Theory of Computation

The Theory of Computation relates to the method or technique in which an organization is brought about to deal efficiently with computation related problems.

Introduction :

Like the numerous other theories relating to calculations and computing, the Theory of Computation is linked to debugging errors during the process of computation. The Theory of Computation aims at solving effortlessly any problem that might arise while operating a computer.

The Theory of Computation is an integral part of computing. In fact, computing is the first and most crucial stage of conducting computing .

The Theory of Computation :

The Theory of Computation, or the computation theory, as it is colloquially referred to is in its turn categorized under two heads. Both the fragments of the Theory of Computation engage in the furthering of formal models of computation. The two branches of the Theory of Computation are listed below:

  • Computability Theory
  • Complexity Theory

Computability Theory :

The first fundamental of the Theory of Computation, the Computability Theory refers to the analysis of whether the problem that has arisen in the system can be solved on and by a computer.

Complexity Theory :

The second fundamental, the Complexity Theory is considers the amount of efficiency required to solve the problem. This is only if the problem is detected to be capable of being solved by a computer. This stage determines the degree of efficiency required by the problem. It also looks into the amount of time and man power required for the solution pertaining to computing.

Computation :

These two rules of Computability Theory and Complexity Theory, together go about establishing and pushing forward the Theory of Computation.
