Computing Research Association (CRA) is a North American Computer Science Association comprising of over 200 academic departments of computer science, computer engineering and other related subjects. Several laboratories and research centers, affiliated professional organizations are the members of Computing Research Association (CRA). Making computing research and education strong and advanced and spread computer awareness among all is the fundamental mission of CRA. The association also emphasizes on increasing opportunities for women and minorities. CRA Events Conferences: the flagship conference of Computing Research Association's is held twice in a year at the ‘Conference at Snowbird', Utah. Leaders from the US industrial and government computer research laboratories and heads of computer science and engineering departments are the chief members of the conference. Workshops: “ CRA-NIH Computing Research Challenges in Biomedicine Workshop ” held at Bethesda, is sponsored by CRA and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The workshop was held on June 2006. CRA Projects There are several projects that are under operation of Computing Research Association. Computing Community Consortium (CCC) develops visions and creates new and innovative research opportunities. There are a number of ongoing programmes under the Research Mentoring Projects.
