Computer hangs are those computer problems which disrupt the normal functioning of computers. Computer hangs are certain kinds of temporary computer crashes. In this form of crash the computer fails to respond to any sort of input given either from the mouse or the keyboard. This means that one cannot type anything or give any kind of command to the computer. This hampers the work of the computer user but if the computer hangs one need not get tense or worried since it is a problem that can be solved.

A computer crash is a state in which a program ceases to carry out its requisite task. It may appear that the program has frozen. There can numerous causes for such computer crashes and crashes like computer hangs . There can be other serious computer problems that destroy the entire system or takes a long time to get resolved. Compared to these computer hangs are temporary disruptions that may be solved in a comparatively shorter span of time.
Computer Hangs Solutions
When a computer hangs up and does not respond one should not get frustrated. It is also not advisable always to hit the on & off switch. The computer can be freed up by hitting the control characters in the right sequence. You need to press Ctrl, Alt and Del simultaneously. A pop up window titled “Close Program” will appear on the screen, giving a list of the running programs. Select the programs that are “not responding”. Then click on the “End Task” button placed somewhere at the bottom of that window. A next window will pop up. Simply click the “End Task” button there. This will terminate the offending problem. This procedure needs to be repeated for the other problems that are not responding. If this does not work you need to reboot the computer.
