Information Technology History
The name information technology was introduced some time in the 1970's. In the 20th century, the military groups had connections with many industries which dealt with the processing of computers, electronics and theories of information. This military need resulted in different researches to improve the standards of information technology. UNIVAC I was the foremost technical computer. Later microcomputers came in the late 1970's and soon the personal computer by IBM followed. The evolution of computers has continued through many generations.
