Hardware and Networking

Hardware and Networking are the two most demanding Careers in Computer Science today. Life cannot be imagined without computers today. From controlling small scale home based business to assisting in the extensive research work, computer has become an indispensable part of daily life. The Hardware and Networking business is expanding in all parts of the globe.

Too keep connected within a small office or even internationally computer Networking is required. Through Networking two or more computers are connected together by using some form of communicative medium. Through networking a computer can be connected to even a non-computing device such as printer and scanner.

Networking can be defined as the interconnection of a multiple computers that can share files and folders, various applications, resources and tools such as webcams, printers, scanners, etc.

Hardware and Networking are the two of the most import wings of computation. Hardware is the physical components of a computer that includes the digital circuitry. The software on the other hand executes certain given tasks within the hardware. Compared to that of software and the other data, the hardware of the computer cannot be changed very often.

Firmware is a type of software that is stored on the ROM or read only memory which is a hardware device. The hardware devices of a personal computer are:

  • Motherboard is the place where the computer chips are feed in.
  • Computer fan for cooling the CPU
  • Central processing unit also known as CPU
  • RAM or random access memory for executing program and storing short term data.

There are various other devices such as PCI, PCI-E, USB, CSI, Floppy disk, CD-ROM, CD writer, CD-ROM Drive, DVD Writer, DVD-ROM Drive, DVD-RAM Drive, Zip drive, sound card etc are used.

There are institutes that offer professional training for the courses on Hardware and Networking.
