Buick Enclave

Rollicking into the market from the end of 2006, the GMC Acadia is a large crossover SUV built on the lines of the GM Lambda by the venerable General Motors.

Don't fret if your family, friends and pets are all gluttons because the dimensions of the GMC Acadia are vast enough to accommodate 8 elephantine adults. The car can drag a maximum weight of approximately 2000 kg. A cradle-to-grave quality approach has been taken by General Motors to enhance the quality of this car.

The GMC Acadia possesses a 118” inch wheelbase. There are separate suspensions for the anterior and posterior of the car with a MacPherson strut suspension in the anterior comprising balancing blocks and aluminum hooks. The hind suspension applies a novel structure that comprises a horizontal bar across two vertical ones which enables the car to move adroitly.

Other Features of the GMC Acadia :

•  A front-wheel drive
•  A power, rack-and–pinion steering
•  19” wheels
•  Four-wheel disc brakes with state-of-the-art anti locking stopping facilities
•  A stout steel body and an equally stout steel rod united to the base of the car by being placed across it to increase the strength of the undercarriage.
•  The car's structure has been designed meticulously in order to provide it with a low center of gravity to prevent it from somersaulting in case of a collision.
•  Sturdy airbags for the car's driver and passengers.
•  The newest-fangled OnStar facility of the car informs the OnStar officers about any accident almost immediately after it occurs so that emergency help can be sent quickly to the site of the accident.
•  8 luxurious seats in 3 rows
•  A glossy décor within, colored in two shades.

The powerful LY7 V6 engine that runs the Cadillac, Buick and Saturn also drives the GMC Acadia . The engine generates 275 hp and a torque of 340 Nm. 6 T75 6-speed self-regulating gear levers increase the nimbleness of the drive. GMC claims that the 6T75 gear levers boost the car's capabilities by around 10% and contributes to fuel efficiency by approximately 5% more than other cars of the same category manufactured by General Motors. The fuel consumption of the car is in the order of 13 L per 100 km in the city and 8.4 L per 100 km in the highway.

The price of the GMC Acadia ranges from approximately $ 29,000 to $ 38,000.
