All models are equipped with a fully independent Macpherson strut front suspension, and a Twist-beam rear suspension. Disc brakes at the front and rear drum brakes are used by most of the models. Round disc brakes are fitted in some of the new models. This is an economical car which gives more mileage at low cost. For example, Volkswagen Polo (1.4 diesel) can cover 60.1 miles per gallon whereas Volkswagen Polo 1.4 SE (petrol) covers 43.5 miles per Gallon.
