Hyundai Elantra

The Hyundai Elantra is a small family car that was brought into the market by Hyundai Motors, a South Korean company, in 1991.

The Elantra is designed with a European look and feel. The car has a slick and lithe appearance that is extremely appealing to up-market customers. It possesses a chic radiator grille with a matte-black finish to give it a regal air.

The Elantra sports graceful headlights bordered with jet black edges and lucid lenses to give the car a professional look. The lone fog-lamp reflector in the air dam of the car provides the driver with keen vision to penetrate the fog.

Designed on the lines of a limousine, the Hyundai Elantra provides the following unique facilities:
  • Hi-fi stereo systems with powerful speakers and glass antennae
  • Tinted glasses
  • Alloy wheels
  • Put-on seat belt indicator
  • Seats with leather padding, armrests and height moderation facilities
  • Power windows and steering
  • Room and map scanning lamps
  • Accessories such as cigar lighters, ashtrays, glove holders, goggles holders, mirrors, footrests, clocks, and coat hangers
  • Air conditioning and air quality examining systems
  • A gamut of safety equipments such as airbags, locking systems, theft prevention systems and brake devices to apply speedy brakes
TThe Hyundai Elantra runs on two kinds of engines:
  • 1.8 Litre Dual Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) Engine: This generates power of 127 ps in congested city roads and deserted highways. The engine can also generate 16.6 kgm of torque to enhance the performance of the car.
  • 2.0L Turbo Intercooled CRDi Diesel Engine: Better known as the Green engine, this engine has been created to meet the requirements of EURO III norms. This 2.0 litre engine is capable of generating 112 ps of power and 25 kgm of torque. It works on the coveted ‘direct injection’ technology whereby compressed fuel is shot into the engine to enhance its performance and diminish the noise. The CRDi also electronically regulates engine pressure, fuel usage and injection durations to produce optimum fuel consumption rates and lessen Nox and emissions, making it very conducive for pollution control.

The Hyundai Elantra costs approximately from $13,400 to $17,900 depending on its version and model.
