Daewoo/Chevrolet Lacetti is a small family car manufactured by GM Daewoo, a South Korean car manufacturer. This car is known by several names such as Buick Excelle, Chevrolet Nubira, and Chevrolet Optra. It is available as a five-door hatchback designed by Pininfarina, or five-door station wagon and four-door sedan designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. In the European Market, this car is known as Chevrolet. The name Lacetti is also used to describe the entire range of sedan, station wagon and hatchback models in Europe. In the Canadian market, two models of the car are available: the four-door hatchback and the Optra wagon. From 2004, different versions of Chevrolet Lacetti are also available in USA. GM Daewoo Auto and Technology also globally known as GM Daewoo or GMDAT was first established in 1937 as National Motor in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, South Korea. In 1962, it changed its name to Shinjin Motor and was bought in 1965 by Shinjin Industrial. This was again renamed in 1976 as Saehan Motor. Finally the name was made Daewoo Motor in 1982 after Daewoo Group gained control. This company has manufactured a range of magnificent cars such as Opel Commodore and Pontiac Lemans.
