Introduction The “Smart “model of Microcar was introduced in 1998 by Smart GmbH. The concept of smart roadster was bloomed, in autumn of that very year by several designs and engineering team, under supervision of design director Jens Manske. This car was primarily designed as a small sports car. The technology of the car is similar to Smart Fortwo or City Coupe with a compressed turbo engine driving the backside wheels through a sequential 6 speed gearbox. The weight of the car is 790 kg which provides the rider the perfect feeling of driving a sports car, but at low-cost price. This is a deuce-door Microcar was launched in 2003 by Smart GmbH. The Models of Roadster and Roadster Coupe were unparallel in car market. The main reason was that, the car was considerably smaller than various cars including Toyota MR2, Fiat Barchetta and MG TF, but providing alike functions. In 2003, Brabus developed a model version of Roadster with two combined 3-cylinder engines. Thus both of the Roadster and Roadster Coupe are designed with a distinguishing twin sports exhaust, lower suspension, polished six-spoke aluminum alloy Monoblock VI 17" wheels, spoiler in front, which are characteristic features of Brabus Version microcars. Side skirts and radiator grille are also found in those cars. | |
