The Chevrole division of General Motors launched the Chevrolet Uplander in the year 2005 replacing the models Venture & Astro.

History: The Chevrolet Uplander is built in Atlanta, Georgia. It is built on the same platform as the Saturn Relay or the Buick Terraza. The vehicles sharing this platform have few differences .The most significant of these is the introduction of the integrated child seat in the Uplander LS. The Uplander is exported to Chile, Canada & Mexico. The Uplander uses a 3.5L high value 3500 LX9 V6 that generates 200hp & 220ft-lb
