One of the oldest automobile manufacturers in the world, Skoda Auto has become a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group (VAG) since 1991 that is based in the town of Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic.
The origin of this Czech automobile manufacturer lasts since late 19th century by the initiators - 26-year old Václav Klement and Václav Laurin opeing as a bicycle repair shop. After 9 years, in 1899, it added motorcycles as one of its reparing items and 6 years from then they introduced cars. Ever since then (1905), it became a car manufacturing company. The first model, Voiturette A, was launched both within Austria-Hungary and internationally. In 1924, they merged with Skoda Works, the biggest industrial enterprise in Czechoslovakia to earn the trading name of "Skoda Auto".
Among the current models there are: Fabia 2000, Octavia RS, Octavia Scout, Octavia Tour, Laura 2004 - (MK2), Praktik 2007, Roomster, Roomster Scout, Superb 2002, Superb, Action models and Skoda Praktik and Concept cars introduced since 2000:
