Unsecured credit card does not need the maintenance of a savings deposit account as security for the concerned person’s line of credit. The unsecured credit card is very popular among the common man and is just the opposite of secured credit card. The unsecured credit card is at once convenient and usually less costly to get hold of for the consumer. The company supplying the unsecured credit card usually runs a security check to insure that the person concerned is responsible enough to pay for the purchases that are charged. These unsecured credit cards are offered to the consumer who has good credit history and reliable employment.
In the case of the unsecured credit card the cardholder has the benefit of borrowing money from the company itself supporting the credit card. It is seen that at times one has to pay an annual fee but one thing is sure that the person concerned will have to pay the balance every twenty-eight days and if not paid within the stipulated time finance charges and interest accumulates.
All these are the total fees incurred by the consumer with an unsecured credit card. The issuing company usually starts off with a lower limit on the balance in order to establish the consumer’s reliability while making payments. This is done in two ways firstly making timely payments and secondly by not exceeding the limit.
This creates a good relationship between the person concerned and the company and at certain intervals the company evaluates their account and offers higher spending limit.
