Bond Street

Bond Street is a European brand of cigarette sold in over 50 countries around the globe. Philip Morris was the founder of these brand cigarettes. In 1847, Philip Morris opened a small shop on Bond Street in London that sold tobacco and cigarettes . From then the cigarette became popular by the name Bond Street.

After Mr. Morris expired, his wife Margaret and brother Leopold took charge of the business. In 1881, the company was introduced to public and within 1885 became a well-known cigarette company by the name Philip Morris & amp; Co. Ltd.

The cigarettes had gone through an extensive period of growth over the years. The brand was initially named as ‘ Old Bond Street' . In 1919, the company in the US was introduced and incorporated in Virginia by the name Philip Morris & amp; Co., Ltd., Inc. Today Bond Street cigarettes are produced by Philip Morris International which is currently a part of the Altria Group.

In 2006, a new line of Bond Street cigarettes in a “premium” version was released in the market. These “ Bond Street Special ” cigarettes are available in three flavors:

•  Rich (filter)

•  Mild (lights)

•  Fine (super lights)

The Bond Street brand cigarettes are currently manufactured at more than 50 factories and are sold over 160 markets all over the world.
