Maytag is one of the most famous names of Electronic Brands, which is globally renowned. Maytag was once a brand name in electronics.

Introduction :

A company dealing in commercial appliance used in homes, Maytag was both a manufacturer and also a sales quarter. Quite successful in its scope, Maytag was later taken over by the Whirlpool Corporation.

Maytag had its headquarters in the city of Newton in Iowa, USA until its sell out in the year 2006.

History of Maytag :

The company of Maytag was established in the year 1893. It was founded by F.L Maytag or Frederick Louis Maytag. When Frederick Maytag founded the company, he named it as “Parsons Band-Cutter & Self Feeder Company”. It was a farm implement company. He started it with his two brother-in-laws.

Over time, the company they started went on to modify and remodel farming implements to make them more convenient. In the year 1905, their company produced the first washing machine called “Pastime”. Soon they decided to venture into making more such appliances to fill in times when there was a slack in sales of farm implements.

Then in 1915, the company brought out its “Multi-Motor gasoline engine washer”. From then on there was no stopping their growth and improvement and success. It proceeded from strength to strength.

Maytag :

Though the headquarters of Maytag does not remain, nor does the company exist, Whirlpool continues to use the name in the appliances that it re-brands. However, in its time, Maytag ranked among the top three in the North America. They supplied the market with:
