Widely acknowledged within the “Computer and laptop Brand”, Intel is the sole creator of the x86 series of microprocessors that are used within the present day personal computers. Intel was established in 1968 and famously known as the Integrated Electronics Corporation. The company has its headquarters based in Santa Clara in California City of USA.
Intel has a major contribution in developing motherboard chipsets, graphic chips, embedded processors, network cards and ICs, flash memory and devices of communications and computing. The pioneers of semiconductors of Intel were Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore. Intel has some of the well-experienced engineers and technologists that brought in the potential of advanced chip design along with leading edge manufacturing competence.
Intel is a brand name as far as Pentium processors is concerned and the ad campaign of “Intel Inside” in 1990 multiplied its popularity. Intel was usually recognized as a developer of SRAM and DRAM memory chips. Until in 1971, Intel developed its first commercial microprocessor chip. It was at the end of 1990s, Intel emerged as on of the largest and most successful businesses in the world.
The primary product created by Intel was static random access memory (SRAM) chips. Intel soon became a leader as far as developing DRAM, SRAM and ROM is concerned. From DRAM to microprocessors, from x86 processors to 386 microprocessors, from Pentium processors to Itanium, Intel Corporation has made great contributions.
